Program Overview
The certification program in Literature and Secondary Education allows students: to complete a baccalaureate literature degree in English, and to become certified to teach English in Georgia secondary schools. Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive a Secondary English Instructional I teaching certificate. Course work is required in both English and education, and students complete a teaching apprenticeship before certification to acquire valuable experience in the classroom.
