Program Overview
This program educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles with a focus on care of adult 18 years of age and older that have acute and/or complex care needs. They are often employed in specialty clinics, critical care units, and acute care hospital units. This doctoral-level education provides the clinical and management outcomes. The program enables nurses to become expert nurse leaders and collaborators in solving health care problems in systems. Students may attend full-time or part-time, giving the ability to work while attending school. The program is approved by the Georgia Board of Regents as a web-based program with greater than 50 percent of the program taught online. Currently students are completing the program in cohorts located on Augusta and Athens campuses.
