Program Overview
The MAT is a graduate level initial teacher certification program. This program is designed for candidates that have obtained an
undergraduate degree in a field outside of education.

Progression and Graduation Requirements
- All employed MAT candidates must complete the edTPA assessment by the third semester (excluding summers) of the program. All other candidates will complete the edTPA assessment during student teaching.

Required Courses: 39 Hours
15 hours of undergraduate content in one area of the following concentration areas of Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies are required. Areas of content weakness will be addressed as prerequisites.
