Program Overview
The graduate program in Leadership is a performance-based program that is aligned with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) standards. Information on educational leadership certification rules, as stipulated by the Georgia PSC, is available on the PSC’s website (www.gapsc.com). Candidates seeking certification in school leadership or teacher leadership are responsible for ensuring the M.Ed. in Leadership is appropriate in their respective states.

Progression & Graduation Requirements
- Achieve a minimum “B” average (3.0 GPA) on all coursework in this program.
- The candidate must have attempted the Educational Leadership GACE (Test #301) prior to completion of the M.Ed. program and must pass the assessment to obtain an Educational Leadership Tier I Certificate.
- The candidate must attempt the Georgia Ethics for Educational Leadership Assessment – Program Exit (Test #380) prior to completion of the M.Ed. program and must pass the assessment to obtain an Educational Leadership Tier I Certificate.

Common M.Ed. Core: 21 Hours
Teacher Leadership Concentration: 9 Hours
Candidates must take a minimum of 9 hours of content or content pedagogy courses relevant for a certificate field held by a candidate. These 9 hours may be used to add a teaching endorsement. For example, to add the Gifted Endorsement, candidates would take:
Teacher Leadership Practicum: 6 Hours
Total Hours for the Degree: 36 Hours
