This course focuses on the health care needs of the geriatric patient, the fastest growing population in the medical arena. Topics and clinical experiences will include the effects of aging on the human body, health maintenance needs, pharmacotherapy for the elderly, special needs for the cognitively impaired, and long-term care issues. Prerequisite(s): Core Requirements and NURS 3000.
