SPAN 2002 - Intermediate Spanish II
This proficiency-centered course includes a grammar review and more intensive work in listening comprehension, speaking, and reading, with more emphasis on writing than in SPAN 2001. Spanish-speaking cultures will be studied through music, art, film, literary and cultural readings, including current events. At the end of this course, students should have a basic competence in Spanish. Students who wish to take upper-division courses in Spanish will need to demonstrate sufficient proficiency as determined by the foreign language faculty before enrolling in major/minor courses. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 2001 or placement. Not open to native speakers. Heritage speakers should take the placement exam. Students must earn a C or better in order to take classes at the 3000/4000 level.
