MUSI 3340 - Music History I
A survey of the history of western art music from its beginnings through the Baroque era (approximately 1750). Emphasis is given to the evolution of musical style, beginning with the influence of Greek and other ancient cultures, through the philosophical and societal attitudes toward music during the medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. Prerequisite(s): MUSI 2230. Offered fall.
