Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Biostatistics Pathway 1 (Term by Term)

This pathway follows standard PhD curriculum; eligible for the MS on the way to the PhD; requirements are completed for the MS degree when student officially enters candidacy. Both the MS and PHD will be awarded together upon completion of PHD degree requirements. Students must complete 2 full semesters after entering candidacy before they can defend their dissertation. If students complete the MS degree requirements (officially enter candidacy) but do not complete the PHD degree, then they are awarded the MS degree.

Total Minimum Hours: 115 Hours
Note:
- The Doctor of Philosophy curriculum is not lock-step; students do not graduate as a class at the end of the specific semester.
- A minimum of 21 hours of electives must be with the prefix of STAT, DATS and/or EPID.
- The maximum duration of the program is 7 years.
- STAT 9300 - Dissertation Research must be taken every semester after admission to candidacy until dissertation requirements are met.
