Program Overview
The BSN program provides students the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function effectively in all areas of nursing practice through quality instruction and clinical experiences. Clinical experiences encompass not only acute care settings but also community and home care, ambulatory care, and primary care settings. The program provides students the opportunity to apply didactic knowledge in a variety of hands-on and simulated clinical settings, and lays the groundwork for continuing one’s professional education at the graduate level. Upon successful completion of the BSN program, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX) offered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. The BSN program is taught on the Augusta and Athens campuses.
