SECR 6415 - Intelligence Analysis (3 Credit Hours) This 3-hour course introduces students to the tradecraft of intelligence analysis, including the basics of critical thinking, recognizing and avoiding cognitive biases, and using structured analytic techniques, such as analysis of competing hypotheses. Students will also gain experience writing analytical products that highlight specific threats to national security operations, including political-military, terrorism, medical, criminal, and counterintelligence. Additionally, students will gain knowledge of the role analysis has played in prior intelligence failures.
