MEDI 6230 - Healthcare Matters Module (4 Credit Hours) The Healthcare Matters module is designed to provide students the opportunity to build basic knowledge around population care that all physicians must know to run a practice or take a leadership role within healthcare settings. During this module, students will learn about public health, health policy, and patient advocacy through simulations, presentations, and small group activities. Because the medical field is quickly evolving to a more population-based, evidence-based practice, future physicians must understand what it means to promote preventative medicine in the community and touch lives beyond clinical practice.
