BIOL 6720 - Principles of Pharmacology (3 Credit Hours) This course will examine the basic principles of drug action including receptor theory, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. The basic physiology and pathophysiology of several organ systems will be examined, and the mechanisms of action of the most commonly used drugs to treat these conditions will be studied. Students enrolled for graduate credit will be required to review scientific literature and case studies related to course topics.
