PEDR 8134 - Hematology/Oncology Clinic II (1 Credit Hour) This is a clinical rotation in which pediatric dental residents participate in the management of patients with clotting defects including hemophilia. Residents rotate through the Hematology/Oncology Clinic with the hemophilia team of the Children’s Hospital of Georgia providing screening examinations and oral hygiene instructions for patients, and participating with a multi-discipline team to address the complex medical and social needs of children with hemophilia. Residents are exposed to a wide variety of special needs children with different types of bleeding disorders.
