EDUC 7007 - Critical Cultural Studies In Education (3 Credit Hours) To enhance their ability to meet the needs of diverse students, this course introduces the historical and sociocultural forces that shape contemporary education in the United States. Situated within the context of the U.S.’s increasingly globalized political and economic systems, the course facilitates students’ analysis of the changing social contexts within which educational policy and practice operate by exploring theories, empirical research, and policies most relevant to educators, students, and families.
