EDLR 6990 - Practices in Teacher Leadership I (2 Credit Hours) This course examines the role of teacher leaders in guiding and supporting instructional planning to improve academic achievement for all students. The course emphasizes field-based coaching and mentoring experiences that allow the teacher leader to demonstrate the content expertise, pedagogical knowledge, interpersonal skills, planning skills, and supervision skills needed to successfully guide the process of effective teaching and learning in a school setting.
