SOWK 3300 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment I (3 Credit Hours) A study from a multi-theoretical perspective of the interaction of cultural, biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and environmental influences and how they work to promote or deter the development of individuals from birth through adolescence. Attention is given to the range of social systems in which people live. The impact of social and economic forces, oppression, gender, age, and social class on human adaptation will be examined as they relate to human behavior and social work interventions.
