SOWK 1101 - Introduction to Social Work Practices (3 Credit Hours) Introduction to the discipline and professional social work and the programs and policies that social workers interface with regularly. The course examines the knowledge base of the social work profession, typical areas where social workers practice, an introduction to social work theory, and discussion of the programs and policies for social welfare.
