ANTH 3851 - Religion, Culture, and Society (3 Credit Hours) Examines the theories about the origins of religions and how religious belief shapes and is shaped by human behavior and thought. Explores basic concepts such as ritual, myth, and symbolism through consideration of a wide range of religious practices and beliefs. Case studies may address topics such as shamanism, cults, withchcraft, magic, healing, and the social power of religion.
