DPHY 5001 - Physiological Foundation for D
This is the first of two courses designed to present Physiology to dental students with a special emphasis placed on concepts and principles specifically related to dental practice. While this course provides dental students with an integrated knowledge of the functional systems of the human body, it also covers specific topics unique to dental practice such as: stress on the heart due to dental treatment; the relationship between diet and oral health; and the positive and negative aspects of fluoride use on the body.
