Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Biostatistics Pathway 1

This pathway follows standard PhD curriculum; eligible for an MS on the way to the PhD; requirements are completed for MS degree when student officially enters candidacy. Both the MS and PHD will be awarded together upon completion of PHD degree requirements. Must complete 2 full semesters after entering candidacy before they can defend their dissertation. If student completes the MS degree requirements (officially enters candidacy) but does not complete the PHD degree, then he/she is awarded a MS degree. Total Minimum Hours: 115 Hours
Note:
- The Doctor of Philosophy curriculum is not lock-step; students do not graduate as a class at the end of the specific semester.
- A minimum of 21 hours of electives must be with the prefix of STAT, DATS and/or EPID.
- The maximum duration of the program is 7 years.
- STAT 9300 - Dissertation Research must be taken every semester after admission to candidacy until dissertation requirements are met.
