Students learn key theories and tools in the following areas: nonprofit administration, nonprofit finance, nonprofit marketing, professional writing, nonprofit fundraising, social science research, grant writing, and public administration theories and practices. Through their elective coursework, students have the opportunity to focus in particular areas of nonprofit administration, such as social services, foreign languages, public administration, arts, and advocacy. Given the applied nature of nonprofit management, students will be required to complete internship credit. Graduates of the program will be prepared to seek employment in nonprofit organizations and/or continue their studies in graduate programs that focus on public service.
