Return to: Degrees and Majors
Program Overview
The BS in Health Promotion will provide students with an undergraduate degree option that focuses on disease prevention and health promotion, as opposed to treatment and rehabilitation. Students who have a health promotion degree will have the knowledge and skills that will allow them to work alongside individuals, families, and communities in various capacities beyond clinical care to achieve healthier outcomes. Specifically, the Health Promotion program will enable students to begin their careers without having to obtain a graduate degree.
The concentration in corporate and Community Wellness comes with certifications in personal training and in group exercise training built into the curriculum and the concentration in Health Education will enable students to become eligible to sit for the Certified Health Educator Specialist exam.
