Program Overview

The literature minor allows students to study American, British, and World literature. Working closely with faculty mentors, students acquire a foundation in great literary texts.

Progression & Graduation Requirements

Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas A through E may not be counted as coursework in the minor.
A grade of C or better required in each course.
Prerequisites to the Minor: ENGL 1101 or ENGL 1101H and ENGL 1102 or ENGL 1102H

Lower Division Courses: 6 Hours

Select two of the following courses:

ENGL 2111 - World Literature I (3 Credit Hours)
ENGL 2112 - World Literature II (3 Credit Hours)
ENGL 2121 - British Literature I (3 Credit Hours)
ENGL 2122 - British Literature II (3 Credit Hours)
ENGL 2131 - American Literature I (3 Credit Hours)
ENGL 2132 - American Literature II (3 Credit Hours)

Required Courses: 3 Hours

ENGL 3250 - Introduction to Theory and Method (3 Credit Hours)

Upper Division Courses: 6 Hours
