Program Overview
The certificate program is designed for nurses who currently hold an APRN certification and would like to expand their scope to provide primary healthcare to clients, families and communities. Upon completion, the students are eligible to take the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification exam offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This is an embedded or stand alone certificate.

Program Accreditation
This program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Graduates are prepared to meet the eligibility requirements for national board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Degree Requirements: 19 Hours
Total Clinical/Lab Hours: 549 Hours
A minimum of 549 clinical hours are required, but individuals may be required to complete additional hours based on an individualized gap analysis.
