Prerequisites

(Grade of C or better)

Upper‑Division Courses: 15 Hours

(Grade of C or better is required in all these courses)

You may count up to 9 hours of appropriate study abroad (i.e., courses numbered 3000 and above).

Select a total of 15 upper-division Hours, to be distributed as follows:

Select 3 to 9 Hours from Humanities:

Select 6 to 12 Hours from at least two different areas Art, Music, or Literature:

Art:

ART 3000 - Humanities Studio Experience (may be repeated)
The course above as well as any art history class numbered 3000 or higher.

Music

Literature

Any upper-division literature course in English, excluding ENGL 3330 - Literature for Pre-Adolescents and Adolescents
Any upper-division literature course in a foreign language

Select 0 to 6 Hours from these other approved courses:

Anthropology

Any ANTH course numbered 3000 or higher

Philosophy

Any PHIL course numbered 3000 or higher

Political Science

History

Any History course numbered 3000 or higher

Honors

HONR 3900 - Breaking Boundaries
(Must have permission from the Honors Program and the Humanities Program advisor.)
