Surveys show that employers want to hire graduates with excellent communication skills. The Communications minor is an excellent way to develop strong skills that will complement any major areas of study.
Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas A through E may not be counted as coursework in the minor.

Lower Division Courses: 6 Hours
Upper Division Courses: 12 Hours
Select four 3000‑or 4000‑level courses from the following tracks:
- COMC Communications
- COMD Communications/Drama
- COMJ Communications/Journalism
- COMP Communications/Public Relations
- COMS Communications/Communication Studies
- COMT Communications/Television and Cinema
(Grade of C or better is required for all work in the minor)
