All content must be completed in certification/content field.

EDTD 6381 - Performance and Authentic Assessment
EDTD 6410 - Teaching for Understanding in Action
(Must be taken in the last semester of program).
EDTD 6100 - Research in Content Area Instruction
Content Course

Content pedagogy courses must be taken in the field of certification. Consult with your advisor concerning which content pedagogy courses you should take. Options include but are not limited to EDTD 6224 - Writing Across the Curriculum, EDTD 6225 Reading Across the Curriculum, EDTD 6228 Using Children’s Literature in the Content Area and graduate level content courses from Arts & Sciences.

Electives: 12 semester hours

Any 6000 level course may be selected with your advisor’s permission.

Additional Program Requirements:

Successful completion of Masters e-portfolio (completed in EDTD 6410).

Completion of 300 hours of Field Experience across the four required areas of P-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. (Documented in e-portfolio).
