Department Overview
The Department of Computer Science offers comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Science, Cyber Operations, and Data Science. Our curriculum prepares students for high-demand careers, including software development, defensive cyber operations, data science, and research scientist roles. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is ABET-accredited. Augusta University is recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and Cyber Operations by the National Security Agency (NSA), specifically highlighting our Bachelor of Science in Cyber Operations. Our faculty possess extensive teaching experience and conduct cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, cybersecurity, formal methods, human-computer interaction, distributed and cloud systems, and high-performance computing.
