SOSC 3001 - Methods in Social Science (3 Credit Hours)An introduction to the scientific method in social research, logic of scientific inquiry; principles of designing research, relationship between theory and research, logic of sampling, defining and measuring variables, and sampling. Other topics discussed include data collection, modes of observation (experiments, survey research, field research, evaluation research) and ethics in social research.
