ENGL 1101 - College Composition I (3 Credit Hours)Composition I focuses on skills required for effective writing in a variety of contexts, with emphasis on exposition, analysis, and argumentation. This course also includes introductory use of a variety of research skills. The course provides instruction in word processing and in computer-based research. Students must continue to register for English 1101 each successive semester until they have completed the course with a grade of C or better. Both ENGL 1101 and ENGL 1102 should be completed within the first 30 hours of a student’s undergraduate degree program.
