SPAN 1001 - Elementary Spanish I (3 Credit Hours)Fundamentals of listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish in a proficiency-based classroom. Introduction to Spanish‑speaking cultures. Designed for students who have never studied Spanish. Not open to native speakers. Heritage speakers and students who had Spanish in high school should take the placement exam. Students must earn a C or better in order to take SPAN 1002.
