ADCL 5895 - Community Outreach Clerkship II
These two 6 credit hour courses (Fall and Spring semesters) in the 4th year of the dental curriculum will provide students with the opportunity to serve the oral health needs of the local community and the state in a variety of ways and venues. In the fourth year the students will be expected to accrue 288 hours of community service, primarily by rotating through off-site clinics, for a total of 8 weeks (12 credits). (See course requirements below for options to accrue hours)
The major goal of these courses is to sensitize students to the oral health needs of the state and to provide preventive, educational and clinical experience in public health community dentistry in a variety of ways at a variety of sites and to develop professionalism.
