DXTP 5001 - Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
DXTP is a continuation of ODOM 5001 with a focus on the dentition, primarily identifying caries and identifying and charting existing dental restorations, conditions, and dental pathosis in AxiUm. Determining caries risk using a formal assessment tool and interview process and developing individualized caries prevention plans will be a major focus. In addition, diagnosing the patient in pain and determining viability of existing restorations will be introduced. All topics will be explored using a case-based format. Successful completion of this course is a pre-requisite for enrollment in TXP the following semester.
