An exploration of the methods and techniques with which to analyze twentieth century music, including the twelve-tone technique in the music of Schoenberg, Berg, and Webern, Allen Forte’s theory of pitch sets, and means of analyzing pitch centric works and electronic and aleatoric music. Prerequisite(s): MUSI 2212.
