BIOL 1790 - Principles of Biology
This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of biological principles and processes. The course focuses on the cell and cellular activities, including respiration, reproduction, and protein synthesis. Overall, there is an emphasis on the relationship of these biological concepts to human health, disease and disease prevention. The course is designed to help students develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills in the biological sciences in preparation for standardized tests. Laboratory activities correlate to and reinforce lecture topics.
