Program Overview

The distinction of the Augusta University CSWE accredited Social Work program comes in small interactive courses with individual mentoring taught by social workers with considerable practice experience. The social work program is designed to prepare students for generalist social work practice upon graduation. Coursework also prepares students with the groundwork to pursue and succeed in an MSW graduate programs or other graduate or professional programs.

Progression and Graduation Requirements

A grade of C or better is required in all Major courses, as well as CRJU 1103 , SOCI 1101 , SOCI 1160 , SOWK 2100 and SOWK 2102
A grade of B or better is required in SOWK 1101
BIOL 1101 , PSYC 1101 and SOCI 1101 should be selected in the core as they are prerequisites for SOWK 3300
