Do you love films? Are you excited about promotions? Interested in learning to produce a radio show or shoot a documentary? How about acting? Enjoy debate and public speaking? All of these are possible through coursework in the Department of Communications.
The B.A. in Communications has five concentrations from which to choose: Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Television/Cinema and Theatre.
Extracurriculars include: Monday Night Film Series, Film Club, Public Relations Club, Bell Ringer newspaper, Phoenix magazine, annual speech contest, theatre productions, and Lambda Pi Eta National Honors Society.

Journalism combines classes and the experience of working for the university student newspaper, the Bell Ringer, to prepare students for the competitive field of news and feature reporting. It gives students an opportunity to learn the techniques of good reporting and to build a portfolio of strong news clips.
