EDTD 6120 - Basic Instruction in Literacy (3 Credit Hours) This course advances teachers’ knowledge and skills in the area of literacy through an in-depth study of ways in which components of reading build, intersect, and apply to K-12 readers. Candidates will utilize this foundational knowledge as they implement culturally responsive literacy practices within authentic contexts. This is the first of three courses required for the reading endorsement.
