EURO 4530 - European Social Policy (3 Credit Hours) An examination of social policy in the European Union. The course focuses on the history of social policy in Europe, and on current social policy arrangements in Europe and the EU. It describes the context of policy making and EU social welfare model(s). It also examines gender policy, education, child care, elder care, and other policies in the context of improving social conditions in the domestic policy arena.
