An examination of the history and evolution of European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and its impact on the United States and the global economy. Key topics include the origins and creation of EMU, the institutions and functioning of EMU, the relationship between EMU and the European Union, and the impact of EMU on the United States and transatlantic relations.
