A music industry studies certificate from Augusta University is ideal for all students who wish to pursue non-performance careers in the music industry. This program provides the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment in the music industry, including a foundational understanding of music publishing and licensing, artist management, concert promotion and touring, and music product development and marketing. This certificate is intended for majors in any degree program who love music, equipping them with highly employable skills to work in the music industry, regardless of whether they have any background in music performance.
This certificate is not required for graduation in any degree program. In order to complete the certificate, students must complete MUSI 2600 (Introduction to the Music Industry) and pass this course with a “C” or better before enrolling in the remaining 5 courses. All of the other courses may be taken in any order after the completion of MUSI 2600.
