Overview
The University System of Georgia MD/PhD Program (http://www.augusta.edu/mcg/mdphd/) trains students in the research and clinical skills that will enable graduates to pursue careers in academic medicine as Physician-Scientists. The 7-8 year program combines medical training at Medical College of Georgia, and research training at one of the affiliated University System of Georgia graduate campuses (Medical College of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology, The University of Georgia, Georgia State University). The program offers both traditional entry for students not yet matriculated at MCG, as well as flexible entry for students already matriculated at MCG.
