1. MATH 2210 Elementary Statistics  

2. CHEM 2410 Chemistry of Organic and Biomolecules  or
    CHEM 3411 Organic Chemistry I  

3. PHYS 1111 Introductory Physics I  and
    PHYS 1112 Introductory Physics II 
     or
    PHYS 2211 Principles of Physics I  and
    PHYS 2212 Principles of Physics II  

Wellness Graduation Requirement: 4 Hours


Students who transfer to Augusta University with less than 60 credit hours must complete the Wellness Requirement.

Major Concentration: 28 Hours Minimum


(Grade of C or better is required in all these courses).

Upper Division Electives: 12 Hours


(Grade of C or better is required in all these courses.)

To be chosen with the assistance of the student’s faculty advisor.

MAT Degree: 39 Hours


Successful application to the IMAT program must be completed before enrollment in any graduate classes is allowed. A 2.75 overall GPA is required for application and a graduate GPA of 3.0 must be maintained throughout the graduate program.

**An elective course must be a graduate course in a related field. Approval of the program coordinator is required prior to taking an elective course.

Successful completion of Masters E-Portfolio in EDTD 5910

Total hours for IMAT program: 154


Satisfactory Completion of the ETS Major Field Test

If a student does not successfully complete a biology course after two attempts (i.e., he/she receives a D, F, W, or WF), the student will be limited to specific registration times for any subsequent attempts. Any student meeting these criteria will not be allowed to register for the course until the last day of late registration. Appeals may be made to the Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences in hardship cases.
