Program Description:
The accounting program provides significant exposure to courses in business, finance, and management, and is designed to give students an understanding of the theory of accounting as it is used in our society. Bachelor level students are given a broad background of accounting classes to provide the basic tools to pursue an accounting career. Should a student want to specialize in specific areas, he or she would need to pursue a Master of Accountancy program that allows specialization in audit, taxation, or systems.

Career Opportunities:
The Knox School of Accountancy program prepares students for careers as professional accountants in private, public, or governmental organizations. In addition to the pursuit of an accounting career, an accounting education provides excellent background for non-business professions such as law, and is helpful for advancement to top-level management. Students are highly encouraged to participate in internships and experiential opportunities to increase their marketability upon graduation.

Accreditation:
The Hull College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Scholarships:
Over $100,000 is awarded in scholarships annually and accounting students are eligible for all Hull College of Business scholarships and Knox School of Accountancy scholarships. Interested applicants should visit the Hull College of Business website for more information.

Honor Societies:
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB international. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB.
