Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Integrated Master of Arts in Teaching

The Integrated Master of Arts in Teaching (IMAT) program is a high impact, high quality, program designed to generate student desire to attain 6-12 teacher certification and to recruit highly qualified undergraduate STEM majors for the teaching profession. Graduates will earn a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mathematics AND a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) through a streamlined program.

Select one course from the following:


Any 1000 or 2000 level CSCI or AIST course, any Area D Science course, or FREN 1002  or GRMN 1002  or FREN 2001  GRMN 2001 .
(Overflow hours go into General Electives.)
No course may duplicate any prior selection

Successful application to the IMAT degree must be completed before enrollment in any graduate classes is allowed. A 2.75 overall GPA is required for application and a graduate GPA of 3.0 must be maintained throughout the graduate program.

(A Senior Exit Examination is required of all graduating mathematics majors. A Scaled Score of 140 or Higher on the ETS Major Field Test is required.)
