Bachelor of Business Administration Curriculum


A student pursuing a business administration curriculum may choose an area of major concentration from one of the following: Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, or Marketing. All courses listed below carry 3 semester hours of credit, except as noted.

Core Areas A-E (with Overlay Areas I, II, and III): 42


Since the core curriculum (Areas A,B,C,D,E, and F) is preparatory, the student must take these courses during the freshman and sophomore years.

Requirements for Enrolling in HCoB Upper Division Courses


In order to enroll in any upper division courses taught by the HCoB, students must have completed the specific prerequisites for the courses and must have met the following admissions requirements:

  1. Completion of at least 45 semester hours of courses.
  2. Completion of the following core courses with an overall GPA of at least 2.5 on these six courses: ENGL 1101 , ENGL 1102 , MATH 1111 , ACCT 2101 ECON 2106  (or ECON 2105 ), MINF 2201 . Students may retake any of these courses and only the most recent grade in the course will count toward the minimum GPA.
  3. Students will be advised to enroll in the following three courses as soon as possible: ACCT 2102  , ECON 2105  (or ECON 2106 ), MGMT 2106 .

(Grade of C or better is required in all these courses unless noted)

Electives: 9


Must include MATH 2210  if not taken in Area D.

No more than 6 hours can be taken within the HCoB

Physical Education: 4


Total Hours for the Degree: 124
