NDPT 7171 - Neuroscience I
Grade Mode: Normal, Audit Prerequisites: Successful completion of Semester I courses. A detailed study of central and peripheral nervous system of the human, including phylogeny, developmental anatomy, microanatomy, gross anatomical consideration, and internal structures and organization. The focus will be on structures and relationships underlying behavior, particularly perception, intellect and motor control. Selected pathological conditions will be considered to illustrate the relationship between structure and behavior, both normal to normal and pathological nervous system function and dysfunction will be considered. Directed laboratory experiences using cadaveric tissue, images of sectioned tissue, and models will be included.
