ENGL 6001 - Oral Proficiency for ESL Speakers in Academic Context (1 Credit Hour)

This 1-credit course helps ESL (English as a second language) speakers improve their oral proficiency skills in English in academic and professional contexts. Topics include linguistic issues such as different sound systems, sound articulation, rhythm, stress, sound change in articulation, intonation, and pragmatic language use. This course does not count towards the M.A.T. or M.Ed. degree. This course does not count toward F-1 visa minimum hour requirements.
