PEDR 7013 - Hospital Dentistry/ Behavior Management/Oral Sedation (6 Credit Hours)
This course is designed to educate residents on management of pediatric dental patients in a hospital environment with emphasis on the completion of dental treatment under general anesthesia as well as in an ambulatory setting using conscious oral sedation. Additionally, residents will be educated on behavior management techniques other than general anesthesia and sedation that they will utilize in a clinical setting. Based on a seminar/ discussion format, residents will be expected to review and analyze current literature as assigned.
