NURS 4617 - Adult Nursing Externship
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with a unique learning opportunity to build on principles of nursing basic to the care of adult patients experiencing various health alterations. Students will explore selected concepts related to the care of the adult patient and use the nursing process to plan care of the patient and his/her family; building on knowledge acquired in the junior year. The student, employed as a Patient Care Assistant will demonstrate responsible work-role behaviors in the work setting.
